Unshame California
Substance use disorder (SUD) is an umbrella term that encapsulates opioid use disorder (OUD), stimulant use disorder, and other addictions. In recent years, we have seen a significant increase in the number of people living with OUD and in overdoses related to OUD, including fentanyl. Each person’s experience with SUD is unique. Whether you are looking for resources for yourself or want to learn how to support someone close to you, there are many ways to get help. This site includes a handful of resources, some downloadable and available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.
Unshame California Learning Webinars
The Unshame California Learning Webinar Series covered a variety of topics – providing information, resources, and training that relate to or promote addiction stigma reduction. All learning series topics were based on recommendations from our Community Partners. Below are recordings of previous webinars all of which are available in English and Spanish.
Words Matter
Stigmatizing language hurts. It’s time to change the way we talk about addiction.
